About the reserve

The reserve sits on the steep, sandy slopes above Binscombe and consists predominantly of hazel coppice with oak standards. Look out for pignut, delicate wood anemone and yellow archangel.

Donated to Surrey Wildlife Trust in 2003, Farncombe Wood is part of the McAlmont Group of Reserves.
