About the reserve

One of the best known examples of relict damp grassland on Weald clay in Surrey, Blindley Heath supports a number of rare plants and invertebrates, as well as protected species of reptiles and amphibians.

A hidden gem on the edge of Godstone, the reserve consists of a an open area of grassland with a small area woodland, a brook and several ponds.

A lovely spot for a picnic or a quiet stroll, also listen out for beautiful song of the nationally scarce nightingale.
